Feeling
Market day on the hill, with the mill turning.
Key reference: A half-timbered market town; the rulebook's Møllebakken houses, windmill and market.
Palette
Half the frame is tile red and cream plaster; then dark warm timber, window blue and butter yellow. The first one or two colours take half to two thirds of a frame.
Shape motif
The tall gable and the turning wheel: the windmill's sails, the fountain's rim, cart wheels and cheeses all repeat the wheel.
Light
A breezy golden afternoon. Washing and bunting move. Value key 0.35 to 0.52.
Plants and ground
Geraniums in window boxes and vines up the walls. A cobbled street with a worn middle.
Architecture
Two-storey half-timber, steep red tile, blue frames, striped awnings. Taller and tidier than Solengen, still round at every corner.
Creatures
The mill folk: goat, goose, heron, squirrel, martens. Cats on barrels.
Never
A turf roof (that is Solengen's).
Transition in and out
The street climbs from Solengen and the roof changes along one street, never within it: one roof material per street. Warm to warm, so the difference is carried by tile red against turf green and a gable against a dome. Out through a gate, the seam.

Zone: Møllebakken, the mill hill inside the wall, on a breezy golden afternoon. A cobbled street climbing a hill between tall upright half-timbered houses with steep red tile roofs and blue window frames, market stalls with striped awnings, a round fountain, washing on a line, a windmill with turning sails at the top of the hill, a goat lady selling cheese, a cat on a barrel. A small princess of about eight with curly brown hair, a small gold crown, a red cape and a leather backpack walks up the street seen from behind. Half the picture is tile red and cream plaster; then dark warm timber, window blue, butter yellow. Shape motif: the tall gable and the turning wheel. Still round and chunky, only taller and tidier than the turf cottages of the square. The scene that proved the zone card. Stand-in princess.
